An Electric Bike That Hits 160 MPH!!!
Last Septmber, Jeremy Cleland who is a product manager at Mission Motors, an electric bike company declared that his electric bike prototype could hit around 150 MPH. Well, it turns out that Jeremy was wrong the ebike didn’t just hit 150 but 160 MPH!!! If you want to check out the entire electri bicycle article you can click on the link provided here: Mission Motors Electric Bikes.
Mission was apparently working on a new model called the 300 which will be a street legal electric bike that wil be unveiled in the year 2010. You can be one of the first by reserving a limited edition of the ebike at Mission by going to the company’s web site at www.ridemission.com
Personally, I would like to see an ebike that had longer lasting charges and greater distances, but I am hoping the progres in speed and the experimentation will lead to greater jumps in ebike technolgy. Anyone else have an an opinion on this?
Currie Technologies Ebike Conversion Kits
Ok, well since I am riding on a wave about electric bike conversion kits, I decided to talk about the ebike kits from Currie Technologies. One of the great buys on the market right now is their Electro Drive Kit which comes with a plug so you can feed the ebike battery right from the git-go.
The kit comes with the 450 Watt powerful rear wheel drive system (of course!) with a thumb activated throttle and battery gauge as well as the mount for the batter which the site describes as “stylish”.
One of the things I liked about Currie Technologies web site was the fact that you could actually see the directions for the conversion kit right next to the buy button, so that you could look at the instructions well before actually purchasing the kit. Anyway that you look at it, this ebike conversion kit is an excellent buy for your bike if you are looking for a cheap and easy method of getting your cheeks onto an electric bike this year.
You can check out Currie Technologies at: http://www.currietech.com/ they carry a wide range of ebike technology that will have you perusing their site for hours.

Currie Technologies Electric Bike Conversion Kits a Good Buy

Electric Bike Conversion Kits from Amped Bikes
For those of you, like myself, that are just to dang cheap to go out and buy the latest electric bicycle on the market, there is always a better solution. In this case we have another excellent electric bike conversion kit from the company Amped Bikes. Even though, I always try to save money by cutting costs, these excellent kits are a little spendy at a $475 tag. However, it is like I always tell my friends, if you want excellent quality or excellent service, you’ll just have to pay for it. Anyway, check out the ebike video below or the links above and see if this conversion kit is something you could use. I think if you can’t afford a high quality electric bike, then you should consider this option. However, as I just stated I would buy a high quality ebike conversion kit because I don’t want a bunck of hassles later on down the road. Peace out! ELMO
Cool Electric Bikes and Electric Scooters for Kids
One of the things that I have noticed since I started writing this blog is the fact that Kids really like the technology behind electric bikes and electric scooters. Schwinn had an electric bike that kids would drool over called the Schwinn Electric Stingray, that looked just like a chopper style motorcycle. They stopped making the model several years ago, however that has not stopped people from bugging me endlessly about getting one. So, if you are an electric bike company out there, perhaps you should consider making a similar model for kids. I get email all the time asking for one of those bad boys and to tell you the truth, I thought about making my own model and selling it, but I don’t have the time or the energy or even the capital to do so.
Be that as it may, I can tell you that there are loads of really cool electric scooters for kids that are on the market that will satisfy the urge to splurge this coming Christmas as well as the urge to stay green and hug a tree. For one thing there are the line of electric scooters from Extreeme. This company has been around for years and their variety of kids electric scooters are very popular with young people all over the world. Not only do they have a wide variety of electric scooters, but they also have a wide variety of other accessories that youg electric scooter enthusiasts will enjoy.
