KLD Technologies Reshaping the World of Electric Transportation
I have been making these blog posts for approxamately the last 2 years on electric scooter news that I thought you might be interested in and I have noticed a trend. When I started writing these posts, in the realm of electric bikes and electric scooters there were really not too many really fine companies that were producing these types of vehicles. As a matter of fact, I kept getting comments and emails expressing the fact that many of the electric scooters and ebikes that I had been writing about weren’t so good.
However, having said that, I have noticed that there are more and more excellent companies entering the fray, that are committed to producing and selling top quality electric vehicles. These new, electric motorized vehicles are not only becoming higher in quality, but also in style and price range. KLD Technologies is one of those companies. KLD is based in Austin, Texas that is committed to high quality electric motorized systems of transportation.
Now, I have to tell you I am not too incredibly impressed with their website and I think that it should match the high quality vehicles that they are selling. I’m not saying that the site is poorly designed, but the information on their fine products is very sparse. I really think that they should be a bit more dynamic in their writing. However, from what I could gather from other sources, the company is using nano thechnology and they are currently parterning with a Vietnamese company named Sufat Electric Scooters in the mass production of these e-scooters.
The interesting thing to me is that way these electric scooters are becoming more advanced. They are using the nanotechnology to desing the motor so that it will utilize heat much more efficiently than traditional iron core electric motors. The result is much higher speeds that traditional electric motors. I have read reports touting speeds anywhere from 55 to 80 mph, but the 80 figure seems to be more along the lines of science fiction.
Anyway, I am hoping that these scooters will be sold here in the good ol’ USA because if what I am reading about these electric vehicles is true, then we will have some new technology vehicles, that are better and available to American consumers.

On a personal note: My daughter’s wedding went very well on Friday and everything went so smoothly that my wife and I are in shock. Anyway, it was a fantastic day and even the weather cooperated perfectly!

Elmo of Electric Bikes N Scooters Fame has a Really Busy Day
I know some of you won’t probably believe this, but I am managing to get a brief blog post in even though my daughter is getting married today. Now that’s what I really call commitment! Everyone keeps asking if I am nervous, and actually I am not. I just want to get the day over with. There is so much planning and crap like that which goes along with the whole proccess, as well as the logistics and flood of relatives that it can drive you crazy. So at the end of today my wife and I are going to be happy that it is over.
Anyway, I just wanted to get in a quick electric bike post in because I do have a little time today before we head off to the wedding site. The bike I wanted to mention that I have been reading quite alot about lately is a very modern and top of the line e-bike or electric motorcycle calle the Bramma Enertia.
This is an electric motorcycle that you can easily plug and ride in style.
Not only is this a beautifully engineered electric motorized vehicle, but it also has an elegant design! The designers had the idea in mind to design a truly beautiful ebike that exemplified the fun and joy of riding. Their main idea was to embrace a futuristic look while keeping the design familar.
The electric bike has an H frame system that allows for a very smooth ride while maintaining the bike’s elegant look.
Anyway, this is a magnificent electric bike and one you should take a good look at if you decide to get a serious electric vehicle.
Electric Bikes N Scooters Blog …A New Beginning
It has come clear to me that this Blog has become very sterile in its approach. When I was a kid I had a
band director named Mr. Scott. Mr. Scott was the best music director I have ever had an opportunity to sit in front of and he was rarely wrong. As a matter of fact, he would often tell us that he always right quite often. Anyway, one of the big lessons I learned from my former music teacher, was that you can actually practice a mistake over and over again until you actually are playing the wrong thing thinking that it sounds right. Not that I would ever do that on my trombone, but I understood the concept.
It seems like I have been practicing my own mistakes on this Electric Bikes and Scooters blog. Yes, it has been a very sterile environment and for some reason, I thought that if I just did a lot of informative writing, I was actually getting somewhere. Wrongo-Bongo! What I had done, in reality, was write one of the most boring Wikipedia style blogs on the planet. So, wishing to repent from this course of action, I am going to take a new approach to these posts by adding the human element into the equation. I’d also like to add the not so human element by adding our rescued dog, Ginny into my posts as well.
So, next post I promise to write more like a human being and less like an encyclopedia when I write about electric scooters and ebikes and crap like that! Stay tuned for some radical changes!

Electric Bikes Become a Part of Qatar!!!
On
the Northeast coast of Saudi Arabia is the peninsular country known as Qatar which sticks out like a thumb into the Persian Gulf. This is a country that is an oil producing that is begining to embrace other sources of energy to run their vehicles. For instance, they are purchasing electric bicycles for their police departments. The bikes that they are purchasing are the T3 electric bikes which are built by T3 Motion in California.
T3 Motors makes electric cars along with their electric scooters / electric bikes. These bikes are designed for police and security purposes and in my opinion, they have a cool futuristic look to them. These electric bikes can travel at 25 kilometers an hour and they can travel up to a very long distance thanks to the fact that they carry dual swap modules. They also carry a raised platform so that the officer manning the vehicle can see better. The company prides itself on having zero emmissions while providing police and security companies withn the best electric bikes in the world.
The Qatar police have been testing them for awhilre and no the country has decided to buy the ebikes because they have passed the benchmark test for these types of vehicles. One of the reasons for the T# purchase by Qatar, is the fact that they are low emmission vehicles, which is kind of a paradox considering that Qatar’s chief product is oil.
If you would like more information on this incredible electric scooter / electric bicycle, then you can easily access their Web site at: http://www.t3motion.com/product_International.html
English Man Set to Attempt New World Record on an Electric Bike

Eddie Sedgemore preparing to break another world record
On May 31st 2009 ,In South Gloucestershire , England, a gentleman is going to attempt to break a world’s record by breaking an existing record for the longest journey on a motorized bicycle. However,he will not be riding just any motorized bicycle, but an electric motorized bike.
Eddie Sedgemore, who is 66 years of age, is no stranger to setting world’s records, because he has previously set one before this. Now, Eddie is being sponsored by the English electric bike manufacturer, PowaByke so he can reset his world’s record a second time. Currently, the existing record for riding a motor assisted bicycle is 1,654 miles and Eddie plans on starting his journey at the Powabyke plant in Bath, England.
The electric bicycle that Eddie Sedgemore will be riding is a Powabyke X-Bike, which is a lightweight e-bike (2.5 kg) that has a range of 10 to 15 miles to the charge. It has a 250 watt motor and has a compact Lithium Lite 36v battery that powers the motor when it is use. The battey is cleverly disguised as a water bottle and the bike itself looks and feels like a regular mountain bike. There are several different incarnations of the X-Bikes. There is the X6 which is a 6 speed model and the X24 model with 24 speeds.
Eddie isn’t just making a new world record, he’s also doing it for a good cause. the former street cleaner is raising money for battling heart disease. He is trying to raise money so that heart defribulators can be purchased for London hospitals.
