You can really get around on the Gocycle E-bike

the most advanced in E-bike technology and unfortunately, they are among the most expensive.  The first electric bike that came onto our radar this year was the new Gocycle at www.gocycle.com.

These folks might make a great e-bike but they don’t know a thing about Internet marketing!  I’m on a broadband connect and it took quite awhile to connect to their site, which is death on the Internet.  Then they used flash 5 for the entire intro and they and did not provide a way to skip and go to a static page.

So, you’ll probably get real frustrated waiting for their pages to load up.  Man, I had to go to other sites to get info on this bike.

Anyway, about the e-bike. The Gocycle is a real sleek urban cycle that takes the design of an electric bike to a whole new level.  Thiselectric bicycle is manufactured in Taiwan and has bee riding the elecric bike show circuit quite frequently there.  ( no pun intended.)

Just to show you how much the Gocycle is pushing the envelope on the newer state of the art technology, the Gocycle’s body is mold-injected magnesium hic make this e-bike very light and takes the drag off of the 250 watt motor.   This also lets the 9Ah MiMH battery do its best work to get you around town and allowing you the opportunity to go a considerable distance of almost 20 mles on a single charge.

This bike has a high tech end o it , however, you will pay for it – $1300.  If you are like me though, you’ll want to pay a little for the extra advances and performance. Check out the new Gocycle here today!

We have been getting our electric bikes and electric scooters forum spammed to death, so we shut it down.  I’m not a real expert with the management of forums anyway, so I thought of a solution; Facebook!

Face book will not only allow people that really want to know and discuss electric bikes and electric scooters but it ill also provide an entire network of people to connect with us and us with them.  Facebook will also protect us from the evil spammers by making them go through several hoops before they can post anything.  So, the result will be better qualified people for you to interact and discuss things with.  If you don’t have a face book account, then you can easily sign up.  however, if you do already, then you know the routine.

We had a major problem with his blog before I installed a plugin called Akismet.  Man, did that stop those spamming idiots in their tracks.  It also kept them out of my footer and header files, so if you are spamming me, you are now wasting your time.

A Chopper Electric Bike

When it comes to cool electric bikes for kids to ride around on, hardly anything compares to a novelty bike like the Razor Electric Mini-Chopper.  This bike comes complete with the cool facade of a Harley chopper.

It can run for approximately 10 miles on a single charge and get up to about 15 miles per hour.  Like a lot of the electric bikes on the market today, the Razor electric Mini Chopper has a chain driven motor.

Now aside from the usual stats I would give you on this e-bike, I just want to say that for anyone over the age of 12 it is going to seem small.  I know razor clearly shows a dude that is at least 16 on their ad but anyone that is over 200lbs is going to slow this thing up and make it want to drink volts.

So, as cool as the novelty of having one of these things to toy around on is, please make sure that you are not too old or big to ride on it. As for the lighter and younger of us, well, it has been reviewed on Amazon several times as a big hit with he younger kids.

I would like to mention that being an old fogey, I want to make sure that I take every precaution in both riding and driving this thing.  It is a real cool electric bike to be sure, but being a teacher I know that young people think they are imperious to dangerous situations. So, please take every precaution and MONITOR YOUR KIDS!

We are now down to he wire! Only one more day until the jolly fat man comes down the chimney (and we are not referring to any of your relatives). One of the quickest solutions is to purchase a cheap electric scooter or one of the best Razor electric  bikes for sale this Christmas before it is too late.  Razor makes small, electric mini bikes that look like a mini speed bike but it is is a lot of fun.  The Razor “Pocket Rocket” is a blast for any kid that can fit on this small, fun bike which is actually recommended for young people 12 and up.  The only caveat being that the child on the bike not exceed 150 lbs.

I just got turned on to a new site that apparently should be on your Christmas shoppers list.  I am talking about the Eco-Wheelz Electric Bike Site and shop which is located in downtown Plymouth, MI.  Eco- Wheelz has an excellent site and caries a wide range of outstanding ECO- friendly electric bicycles.

It is almost Christmas and there’s still time to get out there and nail that perfect Christmas gift down before all the elves pack it up and head to Daytona Beach.  Here is an interesting electric bike on the market, the Xtreme XB-300LI!  This is a great electric bike for the money and it has so many features that will thrill you.  Even though this is not the most powerful e-bike on the market (300 watts) it still can carry out its mission of taking you from one place to the next easily.  This beauty can carry you about 20 miles on a single charge while getting you there at about a 17 to 18 miles per hour speed.  It has a 300 watt brushless motor in its rear wheel hub.  We are not exactly sure if this is a waterproof hub or not so check with the manufacturer for details before you buy the XB but knowing Xtreme bikes they usually are.  Even if this electric bike does not meet up to all of your expectations, you have a 90 day warranty on this e-bike as well as a 6 month warranty on the battery.  So, before it is too late, check out this electric bike from Xtreme Scooters so you can really start trekkin’ in 2009!
